Bethanys Hope Foundation announced as 2013 Rock The Road 10K Charity Partner

March 7, 2013

BHF LogoLondon’s Michelob Ultra Rock the Road 10K announces Bethanys Hope as the official charity partner for the 2013 event.

Bethanys Hope founders, David and Lindey McIntyre, established the foundation in 1996 after their daughter Bethany was diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) in hopes of raising research dollars to find a cure for this terminal illness. “We are very proud to be involved and deeply appreciate the opportunity to raise awareness for Leukodystrophy, our Foundation and the Research here in London to end this nightmare for the children & their families!” said David McIntyre.

The Rock The Road team is committed to raising awareness about MLD within the community and the people involved with the event. We were looking for a local foundation that our walkers and runners can identify with, and we are certain we have found this in Bethanys Hope.

All participants & volunteers who register for the event will be equipped with an online personalized pledge page that they can share with their supporters to help raise funds.

To start this relationship with a bang the Rock The Road team will jump start the fundraising dollars by donating $0.10 for every share, like, or re-tweet made in connection with this news release. The official Rock The Road Facebook page and Twitter account will begin the campaign Friday March 7th until midnight March 10th.

Lets put 1% of London’s population on the start line and raise awareness and funds for MLD research with Bethanys Hope!
